Broker Matt McAleney, a 6th generation Greater Portland resident, grew up working on the Portland waterfront in his family’s lobster company. In 2012, he started his real estate career at the Maine Real Estate Network as a buyer and open house specialist with one of Maine's more successful real estate teams. In 2018 he ventured out on his own at the Bean Group, one of northern New England's largest real estate agencies, where he received Bronze, Silver and Gold status for his sales and client satifaction. Now Matt has taken his talents to Cottage and Company, in his home town of South Portland. As he has throughout his career, Matt uses humor and a superior local knowledge to help his clients in all of their real estate needs.
A graduate of South Portland High School (class of 1992) and Roger Williams University in Bristol Rhode Island (class of 1996), Matt lives in South Portland with his 2 daughters and rescue dog Toby "Corona".
When not showing houses and serving his clients' needs, Matt can be found on the ocean enjoying Casco Bay in his boat or volunteering in the community. Matt is an active member of Rotary and a member of its Board of Directors.
